Bina Benavides, Career Development Specialist in University Career Services, has demonstrated outstanding leadership in advancing students’ career readiness and professional development. Through innovative programming, workshops, and individualized advising, she equips students with the tools and confidence needed to navigate career pathways, secure internships, and pursue meaningful professional opportunities. Bina’s collaboration with employers, faculty, and alumni has further strengthened the resources available to our students.

A hallmark of Bina’s commitment is her willingness to support weekend programming, ensuring Career Services remains accessible to students whose schedules may limit weekday participation. By independently coordinating and staffing Saturday events, she has expanded student engagement, enhanced departmental visibility, and increased access to critical career development services. Her initiative and dedication have made a measurable impact on both students and the broader Career Services team.

Laura Rosales, Administrative Coordinator for the Student Centers, consistently delivers exceptional operational support that enables the success of students, staff, and campus partners. Through her management of scheduling, communications, records, and reporting, she ensures efficient daily operations and maintains a high standard of service across the department.

Beyond her core responsibilities, Laura played a pivotal role in supporting the Student Government Association (SGA) during a critical period of transition. Working within an ambitious timeline, she helped successfully relaunch the 62nd Administration and led the planning and execution of both the SGA Leadership Retreat and SGA Inauguration. Her meticulous coordination, strategic communication, attention to detail, and unwavering support of student leaders established a strong foundation for the organization’s continued success. Laura’s professionalism, dedication, and commitment to student development exemplify organizational excellence.
