1. Choose a desired certification from the list below:

2. In the ACP application, you will record a 3–5 minute video responding to the following:

• Thinking of your desired certification, why do you want to teach this age and/or content?
• How will you be an effective teacher?
• What is your biggest challenge for completing your teaching certification?
• How will you support the learning of all the students in your classroom?
• What experience do you have that has helped prepare you to be a teacher?
• What is your teaching philosophy?

*Helpful tips to consider

• Read through each question and consider your response before recording.
• Remember the goal is to showcase your strengths.
• Practice before you record. 
• Dress professionally.
• Check your recording device and internet connection.
• Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed to record your interview.

3. Submit your video 

• Your video submission can be completed within the UH ACP application portal.
• In the portal, you can complete both a practice video as well as your final submission.
