Group Vice President
Siemens Digital Industries Software

Ravi Aglave
Director for Chemical & Process Industry
Siemens
Details:
Date : May 29, 2026
Time: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Location: University of Houston, Sugarland Campus
Seminar Overview:
It is a widely held belief that digitalization helps companies make smarter decisions while adapting quickly to change. Digital transformation fuels growth, innovation, & efficiency. Challenge arises when “how” of the transformation needs to be addressed. Siemens uses specific proven methods to help companies achieve their transformation goals. The outcome of the transformation is comprehensive Digital Twin, which allows companies to experiment with ideas digitally before implementing them in real life, real time. Core Physico-chemical behavior of processes is captured using underlying comprehensive simulation, projected on to interfaces with which engineers can interact giving rise to the executable Digital Twin. In this talk we will explore what are the key requirements of such digital transformation with plenty of examples of how it has been successfully implemented.
