The Get Involved Portal

Get Involved uses a web-based portal that allows students to explore organizations, programs and events, volunteerism, and leadership opportunities. Through the Get Involved portal, students can browse current organizations, register a new student group, receive involvement recommendations based on interests, and find campus-wide events, programs and activities.

A.D. BRUCE RELIGION CENTER

The A.D. Bruce Religion Center is a hub for religious and spiritual life on campus, offering space for interfaith dialogue, educational programs, meditation, and spiritual growth.

CENTER FOR FRATERNITY & SORORITY LIFE

Fraternity & Sorority Life has a long-standing tradition in higher education, fostering personal growth, leadership, and community impact. At UH, it offers a premier experience that builds the skills needed for success in college and beyond!

CENTER FOR STUDENT ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY

The Center for Student Advocacy and Community (CSAC) supports students' essential needs to help them reach their academic and personal goals. It's a welcoming space to relax, connect, and access resources tailored for Coogs.

CENTER FOR STUDENT INVOLVEMENT

The Center for Student Involvement offers co-curricular experiences through leadership programs, campus events, and student organizations. Get involved, join a tradition, or serve the community—whatever you choose, you'll grow, connect, and prepare for success.

CENTER FOR STUDENT MEDIA

The Center for Student Media (CSM) is a hands-on hub where students explore journalism, design, broadcasting, marketing, and more—building real-world skills in writing, production, and media management.

STUDENT CENTERS

The Student Centers enhance campus life through events, services, and spaces that support student engagement, learning, and success. They host large-scale programs and offer a variety of meeting and event spaces for campus use.

ACTIVITIES FUNDING BOARD

The Activities Funding Board (AFB) at the UH is an agency of the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC). Under the provisions of SFAC, AFB is a student run financial organization that allocates a portion of student service fees to “activities” funding for registered student organizations.

THE COUGAR

The Cougar is published every Wednesday during the fall and spring semesters and online daily. The Cougar is editorially independent and student-run within the Center for Student Media.

COOGTV

CoogTV offers a hands-on learning environment where members gain experience in video production, leadership, and portfolio building—while creating content that serves the UH student community.

COOG RADIO

Coog Radio is a student-run online station that offers a creative platform for self-expression and hands-on experience in broadcasting. Its diverse shows reflect the wide range of voices and musical tastes at UH.

COUNCIL FOR CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The Council for Cultural Activities (CCA) has a mission to promote, advance, support, and increase the level of cultural awareness and ethnic diversity at the University of Houston. CCA is comprised of individuals and member organizations that represent the diverse student body and interests of the campus community. CCA welcomes all UH students, so come and get involved today!

HOMECOMING

Homecoming at UH is a proud tradition since 1946, celebrating Cougar spirit through events like the football game, court, and campus festivities. While traditions evolve, Homecoming continues to unite students, alumni, and the community each fall!

METROPOLITAN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The Metropolitan Volunteer Program (MVP) is a free student organization at UH that offers service opportunities through campus and community partnerships. MVP helps students make an impact, build leadership skills, and gain experience while connecting with others.

FRONTIER FIESTA

Frontier Fiesta is a student-run spring festival since 1939, showcasing UH students' talents. Each year, volunteers help transform part of campus into “Fiesta City,” creating a lively celebration of community and creativity.

STUDENT PROGRAM BOARD

If you like concerts, movies, comedians, free events, and many other fun activities, then SPB is the place for you! The Student Program Board (SPB) at the University of Houston is a fee-funded student organization that exists to create programs that appeal to the student body by providing an array of diverse activities throughout the year

STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION

The Student Government Association exists to serve as the official voice through which student opinion may be expressed and empowered in the overall policy, decision-making process, and services offered at the UH.
