Elena Nguyen, Academic Affairs and Advocacy Director

I am a 1st year PhD student in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) at the University of Houston. My research interests center on the K-12 pipeline to higher education, college access and student success, financial aid, and the role of higher education institutions in creating equitable pathways for students.

Outside of research, I serve as the LULAC State Secretary, a member of TACHE Gulf Coast, and the current GPSA Academic Affairs and Advocacy Officer at UH, where I work to amplify student voices and advance equity in higher education.
