Sarah Patek, Vice President

I am a second-year master's student in Higher Education. My academic interests focus on higher education leadership, educational policy and legislation. Through my work as a Graduate Assistant in Student Housing and Residential Life and as a research intern with the Education Research Center, I support student development initiatives and educational policy research.

Prior to graduate school, I worked as a middle school teacher and coach, earning Beginning Teacher of the Year recognition. Outside of my academic and professional work, I currently serve as Vice President of the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA), where I advocate for graduate and professional student interests, support student engagement initiatives, and collaborate with university leaders to enhance the student experience at UH.
