Lesli Vollrath teaches the Human Situation sequence as well as courses for the Medicine & Society and Energy & Sustainability minors. She received her master’s and doctoral degrees in English from the University of Houston, where she also earned a certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Vollrath specializes in 19th century American women’s writing, and her research interests also include environmental and health humanities, critical theory, and body studies.
