Join us for Science in the American Democracy, a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of science and society in our nation’s capital.
This trip, co-led by Drs. Rita Sharp and Carol Cooper, invites students to discover how science is positioned within American democracy. Participants will visit Washington, D.C.'s renowned memorials and museums, tour the National Institutes of Health, and engage with professionals working in science advocacy, policy, and education.
Students will also explore how science is communicated to the public beyond the classroom.
*Students must be currently enrolled in or have completed BIOL 3350 (Science Communication Strategies).
