May 26, 2026 Dear Coog, As part of our annual Bike and Scooter Clean-Up, Parking and Transportation Services will be tagging bicycles and scooters across campus:
- Starting today (Tuesday, May 26), yellow clean-up tags will be placed on all bicycles and scooters.
- You will need to remove the yellow tag. This lets us know the bike or scooter has not been abandoned.
- Any bikes or scooters that still have a yellow tag by June 9 will be considered abandoned and will be impounded. Registered bikes and scooters will be held for 90 days, and unregistered bikes and scooters will be held for 60 days, per MAPP policy.
If you plan to leave your bike or scooter on campus over the summer, make sure it is properly secured to a designated bicycle rack only. (Not railings, trees, fences, signs, or any other structures). Thank you for helping us keep campus bike and scooter areas safe and organized. If you have any questions, contact us at parking@uh.edu or 832-842-1097.
