There’s a new look greeting students, faculty, staff and visitors at the University of Houston’s Katy campus this fall.
New UH-branded window graphics now span the campus’s main entrance, bringing a bold display of Cougar red and the UH logo to the building at 22400 Grand Circle Blvd. The installation gives the entrance a fresh look while creating a stronger visual connection to the University of Houston.
The new graphics come as the Katy campus continues to grow. Preliminary fall 2026 figures show the number of students taking classes at the campus is up nearly 52% from the same point last fall.
“We’re seeing a lot of momentum in Katy,” said Dr. Jay Neal, associate vice president for academic affairs and chief operating officer for UH’s Sugar Land and Katy campuses. “We have more students on campus, more classes and more academic options. The new entrance gives us another opportunity to show our Cougar pride and make the University of Houston’s presence in Katy even more visible.”
The campus is also offering more classes this fall, with the number of face-to-face and hybrid course sections up more than 20% compared with last fall.
Students also have more academic options in Katy. The C. T. Bauer College of Business, College of Education, College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences have expanded their presence at the campus, joining the Cullen College of Engineering and Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing.
New degree options this fall include an artificial intelligence-focused master’s degree and a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Engineering.
The growth in programs and courses gives students more opportunities to take classes in Katy while helping UH respond to workforce needs across Katy and West Houston.
“This campus has continued to evolve along with the community around us,” Neal said. “We want students to see the opportunities available to them here, and we want the community to know that UH is here and continuing to grow with Katy.”
The new entrance puts that connection on display, bringing the UH brand and Cougar pride front and center at the Katy campus.
