Dr. Stephen Huang is a Computer Science professor at the University of Houston. He has over 40 years of experience in Computer Science education, research, and administration. His research focuses on Cybersecurity, Intrusion Detection, Cyber Behavior Analytics, and Algorithms. His research and educational projects have been sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the Department of Education, and the National Security Agency. He has published more than 100 journal and conference papers.
Dr. Huang has served as the department's Director of Graduate Studies, Associate Chair, and Chair. Additionally, he has served as UH's primary point of contact, leading the efforts for the NSA's designation of UH as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Research (NCAE-C-R). He was also a National Research Council-NASA Senior Research Associate at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, from 1989 to 1990.
