More than two dozen University of Houston College of Pharmacy students were recognized for demonstrating excellence across various aspects of academic, clinical, service and leadership activities at the Class of 2026 Graduation Awards & Reception May 13 at the Hilton UH Hotel. In addition, UHCOP faculty members, pharmacy practitioners and experiential sites were honored for leadership or outstanding preceptorship.
The awards and graduating student recipients were:
- Viatris Pharmaceutical Excellence in Pharmacy Award – Barbara Mae Abad
- Merck Manual Award – Julia Bui, Kason Landman and Lyna Pham
- U.S. Public Health Service Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award – Julia Arriazola
- ASHP Health System Pharmacy Award – Megan Huang Fraizer
- APhA-ASP Service Recognition Award – Adriana Gonzalez Alejandro
- Phi Lambda Sigma Outstanding Student Leadership Award – Aniqa Virani

- RX Cougar Leadership Award – Jasmine Malhotra and Gia Tran
- Legislative and Policy Award – Ariana Moorer
- Most Spirited Volunteer and Leadership Award – Christian Brown and Robert Williams
- Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research Excellence Award – Shahad Alfartosy, Gowri Kalyani, Cynthia Ma and Sydney Mohr
- Communication and Counseling Award – Julia Arriazola
- Award of Excellence in Non-Prescription Medications and Self Care – Raymond Kaing
- Hospital Pharmacy Internship Award – Madeline Hogan and Sydney Chavez
- Institutional Patient Care Award – Chad Johnson
- James McCarty Community Pharmacy Internship Award – Diego Mascorro
- Ambulatory Care Award – Sydni St. Julian
- PHOP Graduate Student Excellence Award – Javeria Khalid
- Albertsons Community Pharmacy Scholarship Award – Marriam Khan

- Institutional Patient Care Preceptor of the Year Award – Lauren Laserna, Pharm.D., TIRR Memorial Hermann
- Ambulatory Care Preceptor of the Year Award – Damien Fisher, Pharm.D., AE-C, Access Coordinator Boot Camp
- Community Preceptor Award – Man-To Lee, Pharm.D., Kelsey Pharmacy
