Membership

What does it mean to be a member?

Membership in the Energy Coalition is open, flexible, and built to meet you where you are. Whether you're just exploring energy or already leading a student org, there’s a place for you in EC.

We offer two main ways to get involved:

1. Individual Members

These are students who:

  • Attend EC events, panels, and workshops
  • Participate in networking and mentorship opportunities
  • Volunteer at events or join a planning committee
  • Want to connect with other energy-minded students and professionals

There’s no application or dues required — just show up, get involved, and stay connected through our mailing list and socials.

2. Organization Affiliates

These are student organizations that:

  • Focus on energy, sustainability, innovation, or related areas
  • Collaborate with EC through joint events, outreach, or shared goals
  • Have at least one student representing them in EC meetings or initiatives

We’re actively growing our affiliate network. If your org aligns with EC’s mission and wants to plug into the broader energy community on campus, we’d love to hear from you.

How can you get involved?

There’s no one way to be a part of EC. Start where you’re comfortable — and grow from there.

  • Come to our events. Start by attending Energy Night, site visits, socials, and workshops.
  • Join a committee. Help organize events, create marketing content, or support campus outreach.
  • Represent your student org. Be the bridge between your organization and EC’s broader network.
  • Apply for the Board. Each year we open leadership roles — a great way to gain experience and shape energy conversations on campus
