Health Professions Advising Appointments

PLEASE NOTE: Our office cannot release advising or financial holds nor can we process major changes, determine graduation dates, or manually enroll students in courses. Please speak with your major advisor regarding these issues.

Current UH students may schedule either a virtual or in-person appointment with Health Professions Advising using Navigate. (No walk-ins are available.) UH alumni are welcome to email us at prehealth@uh.edu.

To schedule an appointment with a Health Professions Advisor:

• Select "Support Services"
• Under "Location”,  select “Health Professions Advising” 
• Select the "Service" reason for your appointment. All our services are labeled by your area of professional interest first (ex. Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, etc.) and then service options listed below. Please select the correct area of interest!
  • Foundations Appointment (required to complete before students can make a Second Appointment) 
  • Second Appointment (group) (required to complete before students can make an Individual Appointment)
  • Individual Appointment  (If you met with our office before Fall 2026, you're automatically eligible for Individual Appointments.) 
  • GPA Calculation

If you need to meet with a health professions advisor for a health profession that isn't listed, please email us at prehealth@uh.edu. 

For Individual Appointments:

• Select an available timeslot to speak with a Health Professions Advisor. (Note- appointments can be scheduled up to 40 days in advance.)
• Include answers to the appointment questions. 
• Review the Navigate Appointment confirmation email to view details of how to access the appointment, or important information about the appointment.
