GUITAR

The University of Houston’s Guitar Program is designed for the 21st-century artist, combining artistic excellence with a personalized approach to musical growth. Through private lessons, studio classes, master classes, and ensembles, students refine technique, deepen musical understanding, and explore historical and cultural performance practices, including flamenco theory and technique. The program emphasizes both performance and scholarship, encouraging students to engage artistically and intellectually. Weekly studio classes provide a collaborative space to develop stage presence, audition skills, and peer feedback. Performance opportunities, including interdisciplinary collaborations, prepare students for diverse artistic careers.
