The Wu group is a computational physical organic chemistry group that leverages theory to guide experimental discovery. We apply computational quantum chemical tools to explain and predict chemical reactivity and molecular properties of organic systems. Current research interests include carbon-rich polycyclic (anti)aromatic hydrocarbons, photoswitchable molecules, self-assembling hydrogen-bonded frameworks, excite-state proton transfer, and the development of useful photochemical reactions.
