Community Grand Rounds

Connecting health professionals, students and communities through shared learning.

Program Summary

The Humana Institute’s Community Grand Rounds brings community voices into conversations about health, healthcare, social risks, lived environments, and access to resources. Through dialogue, neighborhood tours, and community-based learning, participants explore how everyday experiences and community conditions shape health and well-being.

These activities create opportunities to learn alongside community members, strengthen partnerships, and connect classroom and clinical knowledge with community priorities.

Cafecitos: Conversations About Health

Cafecitos are held once a month across multiple community locations, offering a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss health and everyday challenges. Hosted in collaboration with partners such as CenterWell and faith-based organizations, these informal gatherings connect community members with health professionals for practical conversations about prevention, navigating care, and accessing local resources. Cafecitos occurs in Spanish language only. Light refreshments are provided.
