THC 101/ Cannabis Screening and Intervention for College Students (CASICS)
THC 101/CASICS is a nationally recognized and evidence-based program designed to reduce risky behavior and avoid harmful consequences regarding cannabis use. This program is open to all students, but is primarily used as an educational sanction in the conduct process.
By engaging in THC 101/CASICS, participants will be able to:
- Receive personalized feedback on their cannabis use.
- Reflect and discuss their cannabis behavior with a facilitator in a non-judgmental environment.
If you are sanctioned or interested in this program, the following steps will occur:
- Contact Katie Dash, Director of Wellness Programs, to notify that you need to take THC 101/CASICS.
- Ensure you have the following information for registration:
- Drivers' license number
- Judge's name
- University representative, if applicable
- Pay the non-refundable registration fee of $30.
- You must pay with check or money order only. No other forms of payment are accepted.
- You will be assigned a faculty or staff facilitator who will work with you to schedule a time to meet.
- Students will receive a code to complete an online course on cannabis.
- Once completed, the participant will meet with the facilitator to go over their individualized results.
