What is WISHES?
Developed by the Action Network for Equitable Wellbeing (ANEW), the Wellbeing Improvement Survey for Higher Education Settings (WISHES) is a brief survey that provides colleges and universities with data to adapt institutional norms, structures, and processes to advance student wellbeing and mental health efforts across campus. WISHES takes approximately 5-6 minutes to complete and provides comprehensive data on holistic wellbeing of University of Houston students.
How does University of Houston use WISHES?

University of Houston started distributing WISHES in October 2023 and has had 10 unique distributions as of Summer 2025. Data gathered through WISHES informs health and wellbeing efforts at University of Houston.
