Joann Ly, M.A

Joann Ly is a doctoral-level clinician currently completing her Doctor of Psychology
(Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University. She has years of experience
providing clinical services across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including
university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, inpatient substance
use treatment, outpatient hospitals, and private practice. As such, she has developed
competency in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity development, self-esteem,
psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and intellectual disabilities. She enjoys
working with clients from a trauma-informed and psychodynamic lens, prioritizing the
creation of a safe, collaborative therapeutic space. Her holistic approach considers
each client’s unique history, identity, early relationships, and sociocultural influences
to provide treatment that promotes insight, healing, and lasting change.
