Ashley Shepherd began her career as a student assistant in the career services department at Prairie View A&M University, where she helped students with résumé writing and staffed biannual career fairs. She has more than six years of experience in career services, including a position as a career services specialist at Lone Star College. Since January 2020, she has served as the career counselor and internship coordinator at Hilton College. Shepherd teaches the Beverage Management and Marketing Internship, the Hospitality Internship, and the Management Training Work Experience Program. She also serves as the staff advisor to the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality – Cougar Chapter.
