Lisa Collins-Haynes

Lisa Collins-Haynes is a doctoral student in the University of Houston’s inaugural Global Hospitality Leadership program. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism from Columbia Southern University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and an MBA from the same institution with a 3.7 GPA. A recipient of the Folds of Honor Scholarship, Gilda Murray Scholarship, and DGHL Scholarship, she has also been a finalist for the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business Fellowship and the Dog Tag Bakery Fellowship.

Lisa is the founder of Country Charm Cabin Collective, a glamping retreat on her family’s legacy land in East Texas, and Signed, The World, an international tea tourism brand. An award-winning travel writer and photographer, she has collaborated with global tourism boards and published work in BBC Travel. Her research interests include sustainable tourism, culinary travel, and cultural heritage preservation.
