Jeremy Miciak
Jeremy Miciak, Ph.D. is an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Psychology and at the Texas Institute for Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics (TIMES) at the University of Houston. He was named Executive Director of the Texas Center for Learning Disorders in 2025. Dr. Miciak holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Miciak's work focuses on the manifestation and identification of complex learning needs in schools, particularly among children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Dr. Miciak has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on multiple large-scale investigations of reading and language difficulties. He serves as Associate Editor for Journal of Learning Disabilities and Annals of Dyslexia.
Dr. Miciak has been honored three times as a 50 in 5 Scholar at the University of Houston.
