Meet Your DENS Leaders

DENS Leaders are experienced students who help bring the DENS experience to life. They share real advice, create opportunities to connect, and help every COOG find their Den, whether that's through friendships, involvement, campus resources, or new experiences.

Every DENS Leader brings something different to the Den.  They're made up of many parts, each bringing their own experiences, strengths, and personality to the role.

  • Angel Soto

    Angel Soto is a sophomore majoring in Human Development & Family Sciences in the College of Education at the University of Houston. Angel will serve as a Captain on the

    2026 – 2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • David Reyes

    David Reyes is a junior majoring in Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, with a minor in Human Development & Family Sciences. David will serve as a Captain on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Irati Arricaberri Bueno

    Irati Arricaberri Bueno is a sophomore majoring in Global Hospitality Leadership at the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston. Aside from her studies, Irati is a member of the Pre-Law Society and will serve as a Student Orientation Coordinator on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Jazmin Wells

    Jazmin Wells is a sophomore majoring in Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences at the University of Houston. Aside from her studies, Jazmin is a member of the Association of Black Psychologists and will serve as a Captain on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Markus Santos

    Markus Santos is a sophomore majoring in Accounting in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. Aside from his studies, Markus is a member of the UH Choir and will serve as a Captain on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Nathaly Silva

    Nathaly Silva is a sophomore majoring in Technology Leadership & Innovation Management in the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston. Aside from her studies, Nathaly will serve as a Captain on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Samiah Howard

    Samiah Howard is a senior majoring in Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences at the University of Houston. Aside from her studies, Samiah will serve as a Captain on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Sofia Mercado Vega

    Sofia Mercado Vega is a sophomore majoring in Biotechnology in the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston. Aside from her studies, Sofia is a member of the UH French Club and will serve as a captain on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Stephen Adams

    Stephen Adams is a sophomore majoring in History in the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences at the University of Houston. Aside from his studies, Stephen will serve as a Student Orientation Coordinator on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

  • Victoria Malcolm

    Victoria Malcolm is a sophomore majoring in Nursing in the Andy & Barbara Gessner College of Nursing at the University of Houston. Aside from her studies, Victoria is a member of the Student Nursing Alliance and will serve as a Student Orientation Coordinator on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.

     Zafir Rahman is a sophomore majoring in Accounting in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. Aside from his studies, Zafir will serve as a Captain on the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for New Student Programs.
