Physical Cougar Card

Your physical Cougar Card is one of the University's official IDs and provides secure access to campus buildings services, and payment systems.  

Getting Started

  • Submit your photo through Cougar Card Connect in AccessUH (see photo requirements).
  • Allow 24-48 business hours for review and approved confirmation.
  • Once approved, schedule an appointment or join the virtual lin in CougarQ (Access UH).
  • Your card will be printed during your visit.

Benefits of a physical Cougar Card

  • Use your Cougar Card to access residence halls, buildings, and rooms.
  • Your Cougar Card can also be used to access your parking garage.
  • You must have your physical Cougar Card to access the MD Anderson Library.
  • Use your physical Cougar Card to access the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center.
  • Swipe or tap your physical Cougar Card to use your ShastaBUCKS, meal plans or Cougar Dining Dollars.
  • Access your printing credits at printing labs throughout campus. 
  • Link your Cougar Card to your Grubhub account and get access to special perks.
  • Your Cougar Card is an easy way to track classroom and event attendance.
  • Your physical Cougar Card can be used as identification at the CASA Testing Center.
  • Use your ShastaBUCKS, printing credits, meal plans and Cougar Dining Dollars by swiping or tapping your physical Cougar Card. 
  • 10% employee discount at the UH Campus Store with your staff/faculty physical or digital Cougar Card for in store purchases only. 
  • Use your Cougar Card to access buildings, and rooms.
  • Access your printing credits for MD Anderson Library.
