Graduation is an exciting milestone and a time to celebrate your hard work, accomplishments and growth as a University of Houston College of Education student. We look forward to recognizing you and marking this special occasion with family and friends at Commencement.

Apply for Graduation

• To earn your degree, you must apply to graduate (even if you don’t plan to attend the Commencement ceremony).
  • How to apply: Go to AccessUH. Select myUH > Advising > Apply for graduation (on the left).
  • When to apply: Find graduation application deadlines on the UH academic calendar.

Commencement Dates

• Fall 2026 Ceremony: Thursday, Dec. 17, 2026 | 2 p.m. | Fertitta Center
• Spring 2027 Ceremony: Thursday, May 13, 2027 | 7 p.m. | Fertitta Center

Commencement Overview

• Student arrival time: Students should arrive 90 minutes early for check-in.
• Tickets will be required for all guests. Each graduate will receive six electronic tickets for guests. Find ticketing information.
• Students will receive emails to their CougarNet account in the two to three months leading up to graduation with all details.
