Commencement Dates
- Fall 2025 Ceremony: Friday, Dec. 19, 2025 at 9 a.m.
- Spring 2026 Ceremony: Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 7 p.m.
Fall 2025 Commencement Overview
- The College of Education’s commencement ceremony will take place Friday, Dec. 19, 2025 at 9 a.m. in the Fertitta Center.
- Students should arrive by 7:30 a.m. for check-in. Note that the Fertitta Center has a clear bag policy.
- Tickets will be required for all guests. Each graduate will receive six electronic tickets for guests. Please visit the University Commencement page for ticketing information.
- Students will receive emails to their CougarNet account in the two to three months leading up to graduation with all details.
Required: Apply for Graduation
- Make sure you apply for graduation even if you don’t plan to attend the ceremony.
Pre-Graduation Activities
- Attend the Grad Fair at the UH Campus Store: TBD
- Attend the Graduation Celebration at the UH Campus Store: TBD
- Get Your Cougar Spirit Cord.
- Attend the Ring Ceremony hosted by the UH Alumni Association and learn more about the Ring Scholarship.

Dear Future Graduate,
Congratulations on your approaching graduation! What an exciting time! You will soon join over 300,000 UH alumni. Just as your family and friends share in the joy of your achievement, your UH family is also happy for you. Our faculty and staff know you will transform lives and bring excellence to your future careers. As dean of the College of Education, I want to say how proud I am of the accomplishments of the graduating class. It has been an honor to serve you.
