Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis depending on funding termination window (funding terminated within last 6–9 months or terminating in next 3–6 months).

Eligibility
This opportunity supports established faculty experiencing short-term funding gaps who have active resubmissions in motion and explicit approval from the Vice President for Research.
Eligibility criteria below are a summary. Review the full requirements in the 2026-2027 Guidelines before applying.
Eligible
Full-time tenured faculty with a proven track record of external PI funding.
Funding lost within the last 6–9 months or expiring within the next 3–6 months.
Explicit prior permission from the Vice President for Research.
Not Eligibile
Early-career faculty without an established funding record.
High-risk or seed funding requests (directed to the GEAR program instead).
Stalled projects lacking an active resubmission.
