Toria Jones, Program Manager II
Toria Jones is a higher education professional committed to supporting student wellbeing and strengthening campus communities. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Sam Houston State University in 2013 and will earn her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston in May 2026.
Before transitioning into higher education, Toria worked in the nonprofit sector serving survivors of violence in a variety of roles. In this work, she provided emotional support, case management, and community education and training on issues related to interpersonal violence. She previously served as the Sexual Misconduct Support Services Manager before transitioning into her current role as Program Manager II.
Toria brings her experience in survivor advocacy, along with the knowledge gained through her graduate studies, to inform her work supporting student parents and families on campus. She is passionate about developing programming and resources that help students and their families feel supported and connected to the campus community.
Outside of work, Toria performs improv in the Houston area with her comedy group. She also enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, practicing yoga, taking walks with her dog, Blue, and spending time with family and friends.
