Upcoming Changes to the Resident Advisor Selection Process
As we prepare for the recruitment of the 2027-2028 Residential Life Resident Advisor (RA) Team, we would like to inform all prospective applicants of several updates to the selection process. Please review the following changes carefully before applying.
Enrollment Requirement: Students serving in the Resident Advisor role must be enrolled in coursework that is actively being applied toward a degree program. Students taking only post-baccalaureate coursework that is not leading to a degree will not be eligible for the position.
Priority Consideration: Preference for Resident Advisor positions will be given to undergraduate students. Current Resident Advisors who are enrolled in a graduate program will be permitted to continue serving in the role until they complete their degree. Graduate students are welcomed and encouraged to apply and participate in the selection process; however, undergraduate applicants will receive priority consideration.
Graduate Student Opportunities: Graduate students are strongly encouraged to explore open graduate assistantship and other graduate-level positions within Student Housing and Residential Life and across the Division of Student Affairs. These opportunities are designed to provide meaningful leadership, professional development, and a phenomenal student affairs experience.
